High Performance Device Servers for
the Industrial Automation Market
The Digi One IA Family of device servers
was created to meet the specific requirements of the
industrial automation market. The Digi One IA family
delivers simple, reliable and cost effective network
connectivity for serial devices common in industrial
automation environments and applications such as Programmable
Logic Controllers (PLC), CNC/DNC equipment, process
and quality control equipment, bar-code readers/scanners,
operator displays, scales and weighing stations, printers,
vision systems, and many other types of manufacturing
equipment.
The product family features include an industrial strength,
ergonomic enclosure designed to mount on a standard
DIN rail, EIA-232/422/485 switch selectability for use
with virtually any device with a serial port, expanded
input voltage range of 9-30 Vdc with screw terminal
connections or the industry’s first powered Ethernet
option (802.3af) that eliminates the need for an external
power supply, and expanded environmental specifications
to meet the demands of the factory floor.
The high-performance, flexible Digi One IA RealPort™
includes industrial operating temperatures, RealPort®
technology, easy web-based configuration, multi-master
capability and a complete serial and Modbus MIB for
easy management through SNMP and 10/100 Mbps Ethernet.
The Digi One IA RFC 2217, TCP Server and TCP Client
models provide features tailored to meet specific application
needs cost-effectively.
The Telnet Server RFC 2217 model supports the RFC 2217
standard for COM port functionality and includes RFC
2217 software for use in Microsoft environments.
The Digi One IA TCP Server supports Telnet, Reverse
Telnet and TCP Socket services. The Digi One IA TCP
Client supports autoconnect to a server, this includes
connecting to a Digi One IA TCP Server device for serial
data tunneling applications.
The Digi One IA UDP supports broadcast capabilities
for easy migration from EIA-485 networking to Ethernet
TCP/IP networking.
